no sound after changing processor performance

hi,

even if I'm changing the processor performance from high to reduced or turned around, my pb stops playing any sound. There's no indication, the soundicon still shows 100%, I can press the soundkeys but nothing really helps. The sound came back, when I plugoff my external loudspeakers connected via the earphone connector. I have the 1GHz Titan G4 PB with 1 GB of RAM.
I've searched the Knowledgementbase from Apple but found nothing. :-(

Is that a normal behavior of this Charge of Powerbooks?

Does it only happen if your powerbook has been on for a while. I use a 1GHZ myself and have the same problem, but only if the unit has been on for a few days (Not a good idea :-)
