Post subject: Key replacement Posted: Fri Sep 05, 2003 11:04 pm |

I have a question regarding the titanium replacement keys you sell. Will these keys also work on an aluminum 17" G4 (I assume the backlit key function will cease to work for said key, but will the keys physically fit and snap into place?) if not, do you have any plans for offering aluminum replacement keys in the future?
Thanks.

I haven't tried it myself, but I think they should work less the backlight function. We won't have the keys for the aluminum for at least a month or more.

Post subject: Ti keyboard white scissor mechanism same as 12in? Posted: Wed Oct 01, 2003 12:36 am |

Dear PowerbookMedic:
I also have a question about the keyboard. I recently purchased a 867Mhz 12in for my girlfriend only to find out that one of the keys had already fallen off its place at the time of delivery... When I checked, it appears that one of the notches of the white scissor mechanism that snap into the key is broken. I was wondering if the Titanium's white scissor mechanism part can be used on the 12in, or if you guys have gotten parts for the 12in. Thank you.
PS. The key in question is "Y" key.
