Post subject: Powerbook G4 Ti shuts down when dvi plugged in Posted: Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:42 pm |

I have a 2001 Powerbook Ti G4 1ghz that I have been battling issues with the LCD screen flickering and going black. I had a similar situation happen when it was still under warranty and apple replaced the motherboard (thank god for the care plan then). It is going on over a year I have dealt with the issue but it is getting frustrating day by day. Also new problem today: plugged my 17" cinema display in through dvi and the Powerbook shut down and light on the monitor flashed rapidly. I restarted without the cinemadisplay and it worked fine. Wondering if something has come loose or what. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Like to hold on to it but don't want to pay a fortune to fix it either.
