Silly Question from newly converted Mac user

Hi everyone,

I used to be a PC user and joined the Mac Clan, I was wondering with a Powerbook Titanium G4 can I (with the manual) change my existing 700 mhz processor and upgrade to a newer faster one?

Also, how hard is it to convert the cd-rw/dvd-rom into a Superdrive?

You would need to change the entire logic board to get the faster processor.
The ComboDrive(CD/RW-DVD ROM) can be swapped for a SuperDrive (Cdr/RW-DVDR)

If you have the older DVD-CD drive onle then you'd also need a mounting braket and ICB board

It all can be done, it's just a matter of money

That answer is dead on. You can't upgrade your processor without replacing the logic board, and that usually doesn't justify the cost as you'd only get a minimal upgrade. You can replace the drive currently in your machine with a superdrive (dvd burner) We sell those drives at our online store.
