I've got an overly sensitive touchpad on my G4 550mhz TiPB. (VGA/Panther)
It behaves normally under most conditions but sometimes jumps offscreen--often unintentionally activating Expose, windows arrangements, or the screensaver. This usually occurs when the laptop is not positioned on a perfectly flat surface.
Is there an adjustement or is hardware replacement necessary? I've not searched for replacement touchpads. Are they available as replacement parts?

I'd make sure you don't have the trackpad near any type of heat source first, as heat can cause these erratic issues.
There is no way to calibrate the trackpad. If the issue continues to occur, all you can do is replace the top case which is available from our online store.
