 Post subject: cd/dvd ribbon cable

the drive opens just fine, but when closing the ribbon cable sags and prevents it from closing without holding it up. is the little white arm supposed to be doing that? is there another piece supposed to be there doing that? i don't think think the cable is bad yet. any ideas?
