My iBook (tangerine) has recently decided that it does not have an internal modem. It's fine on TCP/IP connections, but when I need to use old fashioned dialup, I either get a dialog saying "Unable to communicate with the modem . . . " etc etc. When I use the detect modem function, it cannot locate any modem at all. I'm still operating with the factory installed 56K Rockwell.
Any tips or hints? I'm trying to avoid 60 bucks in bench fees for the local repair place to tell me I'm screwed.
