Hi...need some expert clamshell advice, I've got a friend whose clamshell's screen is flickering. She says it first lights up when booting and starts to flicker once booted...I have refirbed many clamshells (also mod them with combo and dvdrw drives, both slot and tray) and have a number in all colors around the house still. She thought she needed a new display, but I'm not so sure...I first thought it could be the backlight when she said it flickerd, but then she said it lights up when first turned on then flickers after booting so I wonder if a bad or going inverter board could be an issuse, then maybe it could be a faulty cable...any thoughts from a someone...I'm not really sure all that the inverter board is responsible for...Also, I know that you can swap screens from different color clamshells (I thought/think the firewire and nonfirewire are a bit different, correct). I have nonfirewire (blueberry) on a firewire (graphite) but not sure if you can go the other way, and last, if the screens are really a little different are the inverter boards matched to the screens or are they all interchangeable...thanks for any expert advice:)..Rick
