PostPosted: Thu Nov 04, 2004 12:53 am
a bit ago i dropped my ibook on the ground while head phones were plugged in.
everything still works fine, but the headphone jack broke off inside the input. is there anyway of getting into that side panel and removing the jack, or is there a replacement input i could purchase and just take that bit out?

I've heard of people getting something like a toothpick and putting glue on the end and sticking it onto the broken end, letting it dry and then pulling it out, but definitely not giving you a guarantee on that :)

Why does my ipod left headphone keep dying? I have now gone through four headphones in the past two months. The left headphone keeps dying, while the right side continues to work. I have a ipod video 60GB. I think that's G5, and the original headphones lasted for two years before dying, while the replacement ones I have bought have died one after the other. Do you have to use only ipod brand headphones or does it matter? Has anyone else had this problem.
