Can one identify the model of the optical drive on a dual USb iBook without disassembly? I need to replace the spindle that holds the CD, a device which was unfortunately press fitted onto the shaft and apt to come off when a tight disk is removed. My type of optical drive is the CD/DVD/RW but that's all I can tell. Inquiries to parts suppliers lead to requests about which model.
Does anyone have a clue or a dead optical drive with this part intact?
