ibook 10.3.3 - office x problem

I am no longer able to open my word documents (error reads- not enough disk space available? BUT I have 640 SDRAM and 12GB free on my hard drive available?? Also my entourage (refuses to even load?) powerpoint (prompts me to increase virtual memory size?)...OSX ver 10.2 / 3.. does not have a facility to adjust virtual memory. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you! :cry

When you try to open a "Word" document, does if have the icon you would expect to see?? If not something is 'hosed'..

Go ahead and re-install Office X... You won't loose anything...
