 Post subject: earphone socket not responding

Since replacing the now infamous logic board (under warranty) I have been having a problem in that when I wish to view a DVD/CD etc and plug in my Sony earphones the sound still comes out of the ibook speakers and not through the earphones. Great fun on an aircraft ...not. Can anyone suggest a fix. They were working prior to the logic board cahnge and immediately after. :(
