iBook hard Drive "Clicking"

I sent my daughter a 600Mhz White iBook with newly installed 10.2.6 and running like a fine tuned engine. I packed it exceptionaly well and sent it to her USPS Priority mail in Pennsylvania.

She turned it on and now all she hears is a clicking sound about every three seconds. Any ideas of what could be the prob???

Most likely a hard drive rattle...unless a cd is in the drive...My money is on the hard drive though.

I have a 500MHZ G3 Snow and I have the same problem, is this a bad hard drive, or is it something a utility program will fix?

My Xbox made the same noise, and it turns out the hard drive had gone bad. I took it apart and the sound was the lil needle bouncing back and forth for some crazy reason. :?:
