 Post subject: DC Power Connector
PostPosted: Wed Jul 23, 2003 9:44 pm
I have a YoYo power adapter that has frayed at the DC connector plug. Its just a matter of days before it shorts out. We have added shrink tubing and tape to extend it as long as possible. Are there replacement connectors available to be soldered on to the original cable? Or is there a replacement cable available that can be connected into the power supply unit? I hate to spend $70 -80 to replace the adapter when its only the connector that is bad.
Thanks,
Kirby

I would highly reccomend against using any doctored power adapter. I've seen countless logic boards fried as a result. I'd highly reccomend a new adapter. It'll end up costing you less than a new logic board.
