I just put a DVD-ROM drive into my Wallstreet with a PCMCIA card and have encountered the strangest thing -- It plays any commercial movie DVD I put in it, even CDs with special computer material on them... but, DVD-R discs that have been burned or created by my DVD recorder come up as "this disc is unreadable. Would you like to format?" The very SAME burned DVD-R's WILL play perfectly in my Desktop G4 DVD-ROM drive, as well as in 2 different old model DVD 'players' and even my kids PC laptop! Is there something about the Wallstreets DVD-ROM drive I don't know about when it comes to playing DVD-R discs?? I've eliminated the DVD-R as the culprit, and my Wallstreet plays all other DVDs without a hitch. Anyone know??
