I replaced the sound/ power-in board and when the lcd came on it was not clear, but fuzzy colored. The unit was powered down and after coming back on it then had a normal viewable screen. Another time using it, the lcd did the fuzzy color thing and then went black. I figured the inverter went on it so I installed a new inverter. The lcd is still black but I can shine a light on the screen and see everything. Now I am at a loss for what the problem is. Any ideas out there?

What kind of machine do you have? You posted in the Power Mac section which doesn't have a built in LCD.
