Hello. Just recently my iMac wouldnt let me navigate. It turns on. Goes to desktop. But I have no control. I've read I need to reset PRAM and something else. But how can I do that when I can't even get the usb keyboard to work? Some people said it could be the power supply. How can that be when it powers on. Other say the logic board. How can that be when it turns on and I can see the desktop? What could the issue be? |

You can reset it by just unplugging the machine, holding the power button down for 10 seconds, then plugging it back up |

How would I go about this if I need to replace the HDD as well. The drive is bad and was removed. I'm getting a new one and need to fresh install on this system. If I put a new HDD in this system will it auto reset it? If it doesn't how will I fresh install with no control? This iMac is a headache. Nothing but questions. Sorry. |

A new hard drive would fix any software issues, but if its hardware other than the drive, it won't help much. |
