Post subject: Lombard Firewire Adapter Card
PostPosted: Mon Apr 28, 2003 12:48 pm
I run OS 9.2 on a Bronze Powerbook 333 Mghtz. I've purchased (used via Ebay) a PCI card Firewire Adapter so I can run a high-speed CD/RW burner. The "Firewire 2 Go" card (from Newer Technologies, who, as far as I can tell, has been purchased by Other World Computing since the product was originally created in 1999) can "handle IEEE 1394 devices running at 100, 200, and 400 Mb/sec". Does this mean it will accommodate a new faster CD/RW burner or not? The folks that sell the burners say yes, but I figure they would. What do you think?

It should handle the burners fine.
