I have the same problem another poster listed. Powerbook goes dead as soon as I unplug and date and time need to be reset. How can you tell if it is the battery or the power/charge board? I would like to only buy one or the other (preferably the one I need) :D

If your laptop gets power then it most likely isn't your Sound Board. It is either your Power Board or logic board. I'd try to power board first. Have you determined that your battery is functional? It could just be a dead battery. As for the date and time reset, that is the PRAM battery, and is independent of your other problems most likely.
