I was told i can install Osx with leaving the lower bottom memory chip in since i have the processor that wont let u install it with the upper slot activated. After the install i was told i can add the top slot back. I also heard osx recognizing memory as lower amount then what it really is. Is this true? If so ill keep my old 9.2.2 on there and get a g4 to run osx on.

On some older machines with early versions of OSX, you can only install with 128mb installed (sometimes only in the bottom slot) After the installation you can upgrade the ram again and it will work fine. It is just an installer quirk. I haven't heard reports of it lately, so I'm pretty sure this was only as issue with the original versions of OSX.
