Hi.

I am working on an A1181 that had a liquid spill. Nothing too bad, I was able to get it all cleaned up and working.

But on the right hand side (sitting in front of the machine) of the notebook, there are two screws that thread into a thin bracket behind the battery connector. This thin bracket seems applied with some adhesive to the inside of the case. One of the threaded posts on this bracket has broken off.

Is there a replacement available, so I can install both screws again? I seem to remember some of these machines having floating brackets that were not screwed in?

That bracket typically comes with a new bottom case. It doesn't really have a function except for holding those two screws in place, so you can just glue the screw into the hole if you like.
