Help!
I took my computer apart to repair a non-working right shift key. I repaired the keyboard connection (was being held on with scotch tape) and closed up the laptop. However, now the CD rom drive will not mount and of course I need it! It does not show in "about this Mac." I suspect it was not plugged in correctly/at all when I reassembled it. However, any help to get the CD drive working will be valuable.

Yeah, if its not being detected, it is most likely a disconnected, loose, or damaged optical drive cable.
