So I just upgraded my MacBook's memory. However I do read that it says I should keep my memory cards equal. 1GB-1GB or 2GB-2GB! I went from 2GB (1GB-1GB) now to 3GB (1GB-2GB) Will it hurt my computer to keep it like this until I order another 2GB memory card? And what do I do now with my 1GB memory card that I took out of my MacBook? It must have stuff stored on it, right? How do I retrieve that or transfer that to the new memory cards?
I have had my MacBook for almost 3 years now, however, this is my first upgrade of any kind.
ANY ADVICE?
Thanks a ton.... MacBook Upgrade Newbie!

Memory does work fractionally better with matching sticks. (It's called Dual Channel) The performance increase from going to 2GB to 3GB however is going to be more beneficial than the bump from matching sticks, so I wouldn't be in a hurry to get more until you need it.
The RAM gets erased when it loses power, so there's no data on there.
