I'm having backlight issues on my late 2007 MacBook (2.2 gHz). Like other posts I've seen here, the backlight is going out intermittently. Unlike what I've seen mentioned before, if I turn my backlight all the way down, then back on to the first level, it will stay on for a bit. I have replaced the inverter and the inverter cable separately, this last time making sure that there was nothing funny going on with the hinge and the inverter cable. If I try to turn the backlight up to a reasonable level, it will go back out. This is making me wonder if there is a software problem, or if there isn't something wrong with the voltage. Any ideas?

I would say it is probably the LCD itself. The only thing after that is the logic board which is possible but unlikely.
