Post subject:  Macbook Airport Antenna

Greetings all!

Yesterday, I made the decision to remove screen from my macbook so it would not take up so much space (because it has not worked for about a year). In hindsight, I wish I had just disabled the lid open/close detector and kept it closed, but oh well. Anyways, I still sometimes use this computer by connecting it up to monitors or TVs.

I checked a tutorial very briefly (stupidly) and decided I could take off the monitor. I got it off but when I used it with my TV again the Airport signal was extremely low and usually isn't even there. I have since learned that antenna(s) are wired into the casing of the macbook. Luckily I did not cut any of the wires completely, so they are just dangling right now.

I was wondering if anybody knew a way to create a makeshift antenna with the three (blue, grey, black) wires coming out of the computer. If it isn't possible I guess I can buy a wireless USB adapter but I'd rather save the money.

Thanks very much for any help.

:D Peace from Canada :D
