Post subject: Reinstalling Macbook OS Posted: Thu Jan 24, 2008 10:49 am |

Mac crashed and I tried to reinstall OS. When it gets to select destination for install, the destination options are not available. Does anyone know what the problems is.

Go into the Tools menu at the top and then Disk Utility and see if your drive is detected. If it is, you will probably need to reformat the disk. If it reports errors, you will need a new drive.
If it is not detected, it is either a dead hard drive or not connected inside the machine.
