I've had 4 hard drive crashes on my Powerbook G4 in the past 14 months. Can anyone tell why this might be happening. I talked to the Mac "Geniuses" and they say that it might be a heat problem. If so, how can I rectify this issue. My lap top is 4 years old but I am not ready to upgrade to a new model yet. It should still work as far as I'm concerned. If anyone has any information that can help me, please pass it on. I am in the process of replacing yet another hard drive and I'd like this to be the last time for a long time.

Are you replacing the drives with brand new drives or used drives. What brand drives are you using?
