I just keep spinning and unfortunately the superdrive is bad. Attempts to boot as firewire drive to run a disk repair fail because it will not see any hard drive. Thinking the HD was bad, I put a new 500 gb hd in and it also cannot be recognized via firewire to put a system on it.
Any thoughts?
It has 2-2GB samsung ram
Thanks

Make sure you unplug the superdrive if you think it is bad. A faulty superdrive can lock up the bus and cause your hard drive not to be detected.
If after the internal superdrive and hard drive are unplugged and you still can't boot from a known working external drive, you most likely have a faulty logic board.
