Hello, I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro 15" (A1286). I have a question regarding the logic board. I have the base model which has a 2.0ghz i7 cpu. The logic board is this (http://www.powerbookmedic.com/MacBook-Pro-15-Unibody-20GHz-Core-i7-Logic-Board-p-20995.html). I am wondering if I can replace it with this (http://www.powerbookmedic.com/MacBook-Pro-15-Unibody-22GHz-Core-i7-Logic-Board-p-21729.html). Both Logic boards say they are compatible with the A1286 model but feature different cpu/graphics cards. I am finding that I need just a little bit more horse power and graphics power so instead of selling and buying a new computer I thought I would just get a new logic board and sell my old one. I am quite savy with computers and making repairs but, I wanted to make sure everything would work before I bought the new board. Thanks |

It most likely will work. They are from the same release, so it should. |
