The LCD on my 15" Macbook Pro (A1260) is sometimes fine and at other times colors are altered making images, etc. difficult to see. White turns black, orange turn blue, etc. and vice versa. Setting the screen at just the right spot or twisting it very slightly makes it work. Or pressing straight down on the top edge when the display is in an upright position also works. But any movement usually causes a reversion to the over saturated looking colors. Is this possibly a faulty connection? Displays normal on an external monitor.

That is most likely going to be the LVDS display cable is getting pinched in the hinges and it has gotten a little damaged and when the hinges are applying pressure to it, it starts pinching the wires making the colors go crazy.
