My LCD in my early 2008 MBP (Penryn) is cracked, and I need to replace it.
I watched the videos here on how to remove the display. They're great, but they don't show the re-installation process.
During the video it is shown that you have to break the adhesion of the LCD panel to the frame -- it has glue on it.
My question is: is it necessary or recommended to use some new glue when installing a new LCD panel? If so, what kind of glue should be used?
Thanks, Iggy

There should be enough residual adhesive there to put the new LCD back in. There isn't really a need for additional adhesive.
