Post subject: replaced MBP LCD...black streaks @ bottom of screen??? Posted: Sun Sep 14, 2008 10:58 am |

i recently replaced my lcd screen on my macbook pro with one of yalls santa rosa replacement screens. i used yalls free installation guides and everything went smooth, BUT now going across the bottom of the lcd display about every inch are these black shades rising about 2 inches in the vertical position...it seems as if some lighs are missing in these spots are something....any help or any idea to what is causing this. everything else worked fine.

I haven't heard of any issue like that. If the backlight was still working on your old LCD, you may want to reinstall that and see if you see the streak issue. That would help narrow down the cause of the problem.
If it looks to be the LCD, you can send it back to us for testing and replacement or you can send the machine in for us to repair for $95 labor.
