My 17" Macbook Pro display is fine, but I have dent on the corner of the lid. I found a replacement outside lid only -- Is it possible to replace the outside top lid cover only.?

AFAIK, it is possible to just replace the top only on the MB Pro. My experiemce is with the AL PB. It is not a simple task but it is doable if you are comfortable with that level of tech work.

Yes you can replace just the back case. They do have a couple of different ones depending on your model so make sure you get the correct one.
