Post subject: Replaced screen, notebook won't go to sleep  Posted: Thu Jul 17, 2008 4:10 pm |

Replaced the screen (twice actually) and when the lid is closed it won't register and go to sleep. Sometimes the latch has a tough time separating too. I took it apart but didn't see any problems. Does anyone have ideas on what I need to do to correct this? Also the keyboard backlight controls are no longer working. Thanks.

The sleep function is controlled by a magnet around the LCD. It may have fallen or gotten stuck somewhere else.
