Post subject: LCD screen replacement question, urgent. Posted: Sun Jan 13, 2008 8:54 pm |

I had a question regarding the repair of a 15" Macbook Pro LCD screen.
Had my second big oops with my computer and this time the LCD screen shattered. While the break provides me with 2/3 of my screen intact, I'm going to replace my screen. I was reading the manual and it noted that the LCD screen does not come with cables.
Do I even need new cables when replacing the screen? It still functions well, except for the giant oozing crack, lol. And will I risk damaging the iSight in repairing it? Thanks.

No, you can use your current cables. You will have to disconnect and reconnect the isight to change out the LCD, so you do need to be a little cautious around the isight camera.
