primary colors on crashed unit

My G4 apparently died a few days ago. When I turn it on, I get a grindy noise from the disc drive and the usual "I'm on!" chime, but the screen shows me, in order, screens that are, for a few seconds: black , white , red , green , blue , white , gray with staticky horizontal lines, black and then it starts all over again. Any ideas? Logic board?
