SO YEAH THE RESULT OF WALKING AWAY WITH HEADPHONES ON WHILE THEY WERE STILL CONNECTED TO THE HEADPHONE PORT.
I HAVE PUSH IT DOWN AND THERE STILL SEEMS TO BE A GAP OF A COUPLE OF MILIMETERS WHEN I DO , AND IF I DONT PUSH IT DOWN IT LIKES TO STAY 2 INCHES ABOVE THE KEYBOARD
IS IT WORTH REPLACING/ FIXING OR COULD THIS BE SORTED MYSELF

unfortunately the headphone port is built onto the main logic board which will be an expensive repair. It probably isn't worth the repair just for that.

most likely the hinges are bent or loose from the fall. you can go in and check out and make sure the screws are in all the way. otherwise you'll probably need a new clutch assembly.
we offer free diagnosis if you want to send it in and let us take a look at it. just click on the send-in service link to get started.
