I was given a g4 ibook that wasn't booting. I was told it was the optical drive with I have replaced. but I still only get to the apple logo with the spinning circle. You hear the HD and CD for the first couple on sec then nothing and it will just sit stuck on this screen. Im new to mac and don't have the disks that came with this system but am barrowing one from a friend to see if it will boot off the CD. Any other suggestions?
