Post subject: iBook G4 battery Posted: Thu Dec 13, 2007 12:12 am |

javascript:emoticon('') Just got a new battery for my laptop. It seemed that the battery my IBook G4 came with was weak early on, and someone mentioned something about how long I used it being an issue, because if I only used it for 25 minutes, it would set itself to that amount of time and shut down/lose juice or something. Know what I am saying? I just don't want to misuse this new battery. Can someone enlighten me? thanks. Mary

Over time batteries lose their charge. There is no way to prevent it. You can do maintenance monthly by fully draining and then fully recharging the battery, but this really doesn't do all that much.
