Post subject: touch screen doesn't work  Posted: Wed Sep 26, 2007 12:36 am |

Help: I installed a new hard drive in my G4 and got the thing put back together. Everything is fine EXCEPT now the touchscreen does not work. I can plug in my USB mouse and all is well. Any ideas? What did I do wrong in the hard drive replacement?

You probably didn't plug in the trackpad cable back to the logic board or offcenter when putting the top case back on. If you remove the keyboard and the metal plate, you can possibly see if the connector is unplugged.
