Post subject: No screen, then boot with fans wide-open, then shut down Posted: Fri Jun 15, 2007 12:23 pm |

Problem started with blank screen. Looked like booting, but no screen. Then, booting caused fans to go wide open and stay there, not full boot. Explicitly telling to boot from local hard-drive booted successfully. If reboot couple of times, will go back into max-fan mode. Telling to boot from local hard-drive fixes...But then...runs for 5-10 minutes and shutdowns.
If this is logic board, looks too expensive to be worth it. If anyone has insight or suggestion that is something else, can afford to fix it.
Thanks,

Definitely sounds like the logic board. There is really little you can do other than replacing the board.
