 Post subject: Safari problems please help

My aluminum powerbook...on my 17"W ti right now....but anyways, safari was having problems so I went to update it, it installed the update when it shouldnt have. Now ive got the no logo on the icon. I need to install the correct version on safari for 10.5.8 but there is already one installed....so what I need to know is what files to delete to get the new one installed. please help asap. My wife is a school teacher and she needs my laptop for school.
