My A1104 LCD is shot and the top cover (apple logo) is scratched and dented. I'm using parts from an A1010. I removed the LCD from my A1104 without gutting the powerbook and it took only 20 minutes and the LCD from the A1010 works great in A1104. The top cover that I want to swap has 2 airport antenna cables clipped to the inside of the top cover. They are soldered to a small board on each side of the inside cover, can I re-solder these wires? Do I need a special type of solder? Or is this just a simple soldering job?

I wouldn't recommend using a top case from a different model. The temperature sensors may not be compatible causing your fans to not work properly.

I did NOT swap the top cases, I just swapped the lcd displays only.
