my 15" 1.67 powerbook won't turn on

so last night my 15" powerbook just shut down. usually if that happens it's just a battery issue. that's what i've experienced. however this time after leaving it plugged in for at least 8 hours. the indicator light on the cord is still orange. i reset the PRAM and the PMU. it still will not turn on. any ideas?

If you take out the battery, does the plug still stay orange or does it turn green?
