First, thank you guys for the repair manuals plus all the tools and supplies to help us fix our Macs.
After replacing the LCD on my 17” powerbook G4, it no longer will go to sleep when I close the lid. Likewise, it won’t wake up when I open it either. Did I miss something when I disassembled it or when I put it back together?
Thanks again for your help. You are an important asset to the Mac community!

There is a magnet on the old LCD that needs to be moved over to the new LCD. This magnet activates a switch in the bottom part of the machine when you close it to tell it to go to sleep.
