Powerbook G4 15" keyboard issues after replacing dc-in board

Yes, I used IFixit.com to replace my sound/dc-in board and that works fine, the only thing is that my keyboard isn't working. I, like so many others, broke the clamp that holds the keyboard ribbon to the motherboard. I tried to just hold the ribbon in place with a piece of tape (the correct orange tape) but the keyboard still doesn't work. My guess is, then, that it's not the keyboard that's causing the problem. Does anyone know what else it might be or should I just go ahead and replace the keyboard? It is possible to get a new clamp?

Any ideas?

How to switch from wireless keyboard to a normal one? My wireless keyboard is a mess, so i want to switch back to my old one. i plugged in my old keyboard and took the wireless one out, but now my wire keyboard won't work. Is there something I need to program?
