I just purchased a 15", high res LCD screen only and a high res cable from this website, at first i didnt get the cable but i wasn't aware that i needed one either until the screen arived. After putting it all together, i am getting a blank screen, nothing on it. Before i purchased a replacement screen, there was a 1024 res series LCD in it that worked, but half the pixels were dead. I bought the replacement screen because this site had me believing that both screens sold were completely compatible with all models of 15" aluminum G4's. I have taken apart, made sure all wired were properly installed and connected thorughly, and reassembled my laptop 3 times now, still with the same result. The logic board worked fine a week ago, now im getting no picture whatsoever. I get a backlight, but a black screen. What would i have to do to resolve this? Is my logic board not compatible with this LCD? Im totally confused here. Everything went back together the way it should with no problems and i've had it work on an external monitor, but the new LCD just wont show me a picture. Please, please give me some answers, im totally stumped!

You can't put a hi-res screen in a non hi-res model. The hi-res portion is controlled by the Graphics card as well as the LCD. Changing the LCD and cable will not work. If you originally had a low-res lcd, you need to install a low-res lcd.
