I have a powerbook g4. In my small town there is one network but it is a few blocks away and I can't get a signal. Someone told me to go to Good Guys and buy an antenna booster to put on my roof. Is there such a thing and will it work good??? Thanks for any info and help.
Getting a signal a few blocks away is not going to be easy, and the Tin Can approach likely won't get near that distance When it comes to wireless, you have a few options to increase your range. You can get an extender for the base, an extender for your laptop, or put stations in between the base and the extender to amplify the signal.
