Post subject: iPod Nano 1st gen, hold wont turn off Posted: Tue Jun 17, 2008 11:20 pm |

i never use the hold but all of a sudden it got stuck in the hold position, i can move the switch back and forth but it wont turn off? any ideas before i start opening it up and not knowing what im doing lol, Thanks

the switch itself is built onto the logic board. I have seen that switch break off or stop responding. Most likely it will require a new logic board which probably means it is time for a new ipod given how expensive they are.
