Hey, I just replaced my battery for the I pod 4 gig nano, and it works when the headphones arn't in, but as soon as I put the headphones in it shuts off. you can't reset it or anything it's completely dead. what's up with that?

thanks.

and I don't think it is the battery because when the headphones are not plugged in it says it has full power and everytime I attach it to the usb port it never needs to charge it is always fully charged.

it is hard to say. Either the headphone cable got ripped a little and is shorting it out, or maybe some of the solder around the battery contacts is crossing over onto another trace and shorting it out.
